Alex Sorokin – Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Sorokin is a Co-Founder and General Partner of Persephone Capital Partners. Mr. Sorokin began his career in marketing strategy and strategic planning and went on to be a consultant and CEO helping companies with business and financial restructurings across a wide range of industries for the past 30 years. He has been CEO of nine different companies, including most recently Ener1, a “green energy” lithium-ion battery manufacturer, Medical Staffing Network, which provides health care services, Vertis Communications and IWP International, while based in London.
In addition to his CEO experience, Mr. Sorokin has advised over 40 companies requiring business improvement, including many with field operations that are service based and benefit from the advantages of technology and work flow automation. Among the industries served are insurance, transportation, staffing, construction, and distribution. He has been a board member of six different companies.
Mr. Sorokin received a B.A. from The Johns Hopkins University.
Vancho Tolomanosi – Chief Technology Officer
Vancho has 23 years of experience in creating and operating businesses. He is the founder and CEO of VJV IT Consulting, a U.S.-based IT and cyber-security consulting firm with offices in US and Europe. He has demonstrated expertise in e-commerce, entrepreneurship, enterprise architecture, and agile methodologies, with a history of working with and leading enterprises. He as a certificate from Harvard in Cyber Security. He currently is an advisor for numerous companies that develop software applications in the social media and enterprise verticals.
Kelly Mee – Controller
Ms. Mee began her career with a small start-up business, as an Office Manager/ Bookkeeper. She then moved onto a position in wholesale jewelry as a Director of Operations, beginning with Vision Solutions Impact, Inc. here on the seacoast. While at VSI, LLC, Ms. Mee managed the entire operations department and personnel, as well as assisted with the sales department. When the time came to for the company to be re-absorbed by its parent company, M. Fabrikant and Sons, Ms. Mee was fundamental in the relocation of the business back to Manhattan.
Upon leaving the luxuries market, Ms. Mee joined another start-up business, in the technology field as Controller at Ensconce Data Technology, Inc., which specialized in digital data destruction.
Ms. Mee returned to her wholesale roots when she joined Masai USA Corp as the Senior Accounting Manager, a position she held until the company was dissolved. While at Masai, she was responsible for all general accounting functions including full P&L, balance sheet, A/P, A/R, payroll, inventory control, variance reporting and financial analysis. She acted as the finance department representative on the US subsidiary business system ERP implementation team, developed internal controls and coordinate year-end audits with external auditors. She also managed the credit, collections and billing department with an A/R balance ranging between 3-5 million in open A/R and reduced over due A/R by 50% from baseline period.
Ms. Mee joined the Global Relief Technologies team as the Controller, in 2013. Ms. Mee is primarily responsible for planning, directing, implementing and controlling financial functions of the company, as well as working with business unit leads on contracts and strategic relationship agreements.
Ms. Mee has a BS in Business Management from The University of New Hampshire.
Jennifer Clarke-Burke – Program Director
Ms. Clarke-Burke has over 20 years’ experience in the Information Technology (IT) industry with a proven record of directing and managing programs and projects. She has worked as a consultant for over 10 years where she assisted companies with creating and implementing enterprise IT solutions.
She is passionate about assisting companies adopt practices that provide the ability to meet strategic objectives. She has assisted companies establish program management offices (PMO) and championed the adoption of agile and incremental practices.
She has wide experience in several industries including Department of Defense (DoD), financial services, insurance, service/call center, and retail. She has assisted teams to create IT roadmaps, retire obsolete technology platforms, implement CRM / SAP / ERP systems, develop web / mobile portals.
In her capacity as a project manager, she has planned, executed, and delivered complex projects simultaneously. She has managed a variety of geographically disperse project teams utilizing resources internal and external to the organization. She is adept a managing project financials, risk, communication, resources, change, and governance.
She has prior experience in all roles on software projects, including analyst, quality tester, and developer.
